Abstract:
The United Nations Convention against Corruption of the General Assembly resolution 57/4 on October 31, 2003 includes a range of measures and mechanisms in the fight against corruption, which constitute the roadmap for anti-corruption, moralization of public life to provide a range of preventive measures which constitute a reference for countries ratify in order to combat corruption.
I. States Parties committed to the establishment of a national commission to combat corruption, which has the necessary independence to enable them to carry out their functions effectively and free from any influence, and should be provided with the necessary material resources and specialized staff.
Second and by a second ratification of countries committed to establishing protective measures for the creation of public officials to inform the relevant authorities of acts of corruption, when they pay attention to such acts while performing their jobs.
States also put public officials declare measures intending to make declarations to the authorities concerned for their property and also the exercise of the activities of foreign investments or significant benefits could lead to a conflict of interest with their duties as public officials.
Third States undertake to ratify the realization of the principles of transparency in public policy through the dissemination of information on participating in the bidding procedures, and to advance the adoption and deployment of conditions for participation, including selection criteria and the establishment of an effective system of internal audit, including the system of appeal, to ensure the existence of legal ways grievance procedure and remedies, and establish a comprehensive system of internal control and supervision of banks and financial institutions are particularly vulnerable to money laundering.
Ensuring equality and the rule of law and the development of values and behaviors related to the culture of transparency and integrity that calls for countries to activate the basic constitutional and legislative guarantees that desire to ensure the independence of the judiciary to devote to social justice and protection from abuse.
